Bows, Bows and more Bows!

One would think with two little girls that my home would be overrun with bows, little clips and hair accessories galore. Well suprisingly it hasn't been until this week. This week I ventured into the world of bow making and I must say a HUGE monster has been created! I am like a vulture swooping down on any ribbon deal I can find and scavanging through the discount bins at the local craft store, just hoping to find that one unique pattern that no one else has. This monster has even ventured into cyberspace with the addition if my bows to my website and hyena cart. Perhaps at some point I may even approach some small brick and mortar stores and see how that goes.

Children will never touch a hair clip or mess their hair up until the minute you are trying to head out the door. The biggest hair disasters will occur when you are running late or just before a picture is clicked.

If it were only that easy

So, I recently set up a webpage to try and sell some of my crafty items and like most want to be entrepreneurs just figured the traffic would flow in and I would have more orders than I could handle. Well, a few months later and other than some small orders from friends or family things have been pretty quite. Ok they have been down right silent. Which leads me to ask the questions... Am I delusional about the products I am offering? Are they not a good as I think? Is the market I believed was there really just make believe? Will my web endeavour slide into oblivion like so many others or will there be a retail giant that will swoop in and discover little old me? Who knows, but I guess the coming months will tell the story... Stay tuned ;)

So What Did I Do?

I decided to take the weekend off and try to collect my thoughts and as it turns out with two little girls to chase after I either don't have time to think or I just don't have a lot of thoughts. I know not very prophetic, but true. So I have decided to start posting my Words of Wisdom from an Ordinary Everyday Mom and will post new insights as they reveal themselves in brief flashes of brilliance to me. Ok it may be more like a glimmer at the end of a very long tunnel, but it is information none the less.

Words of Wisdom from and Ordinary Everyday Mom #1

No surface in a house is too high or too long for a curious and innovative .2.5 year old to surmount especially if there is something sweet, sharp or breakable to get to

A 5 month old can always time naps perfectly to end in a desperate need for attention the minute hot food is ready to be eaten.

Are these new ideas to mom's? No, but true none the less

Who Knew???

Never in my wildest dreams did I think that the world of blogging could be so big and I am only talking about setting up my own site right now. I mean there are blog rolls, links, gadgets, games, wishlists and so much more. Then you get into comments, and posting items, settings, layout....my mind is spinning.

Sitting in the safetly of my own little blog I am torn as to where to go next... do I hide amongst the familiar letters I type...do I expand my little bubble and invite other blogging friends to join me until it bursts and spills my words across the internet like a mighty flowing river... or do I throw caution to the wind and venture out into the big wide world of blogs and see where it takes me?????

Hmmmmm...maybe I will just make a cup of tea and see if I can remember my password for the next time I log in ;)

Have a great day everyone. I will be back soon to ramble more :)
